Align Rehabilitation - PRN Physical Therapist
Align Rehabilitation is seeking an interested candidate to join our team as part time (PRN) Physical Therapist to serve those with limb loss and/or neurological impairments, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, at our brand-new outpatient location in Abingdon, Maryland.
Working with us
Align Rehabilitation’s Physical Therapists (PT) play a crucial role in making a positive difference in the lives of the patients we serve by being an active component of a supportive and skilled work environment. Our company’s goal is to progress our patients’ mobility to their optimal capacity by providing specialized prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation. Our PTs are a valued part of an amputee rehabilitation team that provide pre-amputation, pre-prosthetic, and prosthetic gait training and rehabilitation. We have expanded into a new, larger, space to begin servicing the orthotic user, fully integrating us into the orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) industry.
The physical therapists at Align Rehabilitation have access to state-of-the-art technology and equipment, such as the SoloStep, Otto Bock L.A.S.A.R. - Posture, and MyoBoy for upper extremity training. We maintain close collaboration with orthotists and prosthetists, ensuring easy accessibility during treatment for any necessary adjustments for our shared patients, minimizing any delays in rehabilitation. Additionally, we collaborate to determine the optimal prosthetic or orthotic prescription that will enable our mutual patients to thrive. We also work closely with Assistive Technology Professionals (ATP) to perform wheelchair evaluations to optimize our patients’ seated mobility.
Employment with Align Rehabilitation provides an opportunity to specialize within interest areas of amputation rehabilitation, prosthetic gait training, orthotic training, adaptive equipment, and neuro-based rehabilitation. While experience treating this population is preferred, it is not a requirement. The right candidate will have a passion for working with this patient population that extends beyond the clinic walls. Mentorship will be provided and candidates will be able to advance these specialized skill sets.
Align Rehabilitation employees stand as advocates, educators, and companions, navigating every step of the rehabilitation journey together with our patients. We are determined to be the bridge that connects hope, healing, and wholeness in the lives of those we serve.

About Align Rehabilitation
Align Rehabilitation is an outpatient physical therapy provider specializing in prosthetic rehabilitation. We were founded by our President, Michelle Jamin, PT, DPT, who has had a passion for treating the amputee population since childhood. We opened our doors on May 5, 2022 and recently expanded into a brand-new facility, designed specifically for the needs of the limb loss population.
We work directly with local prosthetists/orthotists who are on-site. They are available to co-treat our shared patients during their appointments to maximize efficiency, prevent delays in rehabilitation due to prosthetic-related concerns, and save our patients’ valuable time. We collaborate on prosthetic design and components that will best fit our patients’ needs and enhance their quality of life.
Our treatment approach emphasizes the enhancement of quality of life by improving functional independence, increasing participation in social activities, preventing further injury or secondary amputation, and by empowering our patients and their families through education. Due to our unique position of treating a high volume of amputees, we place a heavy emphasis on performance-based outcome measures as we contribute to the advancement of prosthetic rehabilitation.
